Kerri & Pete

Kerri and Pete were so much fun to photograph!  I met them last month for their engagement photos, and we were lucky enough to do their pictures on what was probably the warmest day of the month!  I’m really hoping that they bring Pete’s car to the wedding too…  Kerri and Pete I can’t wait for your wedding!

Matt and Enna behind the scenes

recipe for love: rachel & aaron

As anyone who meets us knows, Enna and I love getting to know who our clients are, and sharing with them who we are.  When Rachel and Aaron visited our studio and started telling us about their passions in life, food (good food in particular) was a top subject.  And if you know Enna, you know she has the same passion high on her list.  So when we brought up the question of what to do for their engagement shoot, they invited us to their home for a home-cooked dinner.  We started the shoot with portraits of them on the scooter they enjoy commuting to work on, then made a short trip to Russo’s in Watertown for fresh ingredients (note: if you are a foodie living anywhere in the vicinity of Boston you MUST make a sojourn to Russo’s).  Hanging out in Rachel and Aaron’s kitchen, munching on fresh tortilla chips (which totally makes us want to buy a deep fryer!), watching them cook and sharing yummy wine was awesome and the meal they prepared for us was absolutely delicious!!!  Rachel’s brother, a culinary student, would I’m sure be very proud.  Now with their wedding still 9 months away on the Florida Keys, we are delighted share these fun images of the evening.  We also want to share the food, but since you can’t eat your monitor – check out and try the delicious recipe below:)

Rachel & Aaron’s Sesame Noodles

Soy sauce — about half a cup
sesame seeds — white or black — about 1 1/2 tablespoons
crunchy peanut butter — about 1/4 cup
maple syrup — about 2 tablespoons
rice vinegar — about 1 1/2 tablespoons (if too vinegary, add more maple syrup or peanut butter)
Sriracha hot sauce — as spicy as you’d like it
1 clove of raw garlic, minced

Mix everything together in a bowl and then pour over hot noodles. We like it best with the whole wheat fettuccine, but it does work well with rice noodles, like you’d use for pad Thai. You could also add all manner of vegetable to the dish: sugar snap peas, snow peas, broccoli,  red peppers, baby corn, whatever really.

Enna’s note:  Rachel mentions that she prefers whole wheat fettuccine, which I normally don’t like, but after having the freshly made whole wheat pasta from Russo’s I am a convert!  MMMM Good!

January 29, 2010 - 9:01 pm Mark Andrew Higgins - Matt and Enna, I love the reflection shot! Great borders on it as well.

January 30, 2010 - 1:39 am Jen Boys- ftpweddings - I am in L-O-V-E with the mirror shot. You guys are so creative, it's amazing where you find the best shots if you only open your eyes!
