Meet Alexandra and Alex. Two Bostonians who recently tied the knot at one of our favorite Boston locations, the Larz Anderson park. Enna and I lived just down the road from this park for about 10 years. Our boys learned how to walk, run and climb at Larz Anderson, and a good friend once rented the ice rink on top of the hill just so he could invite and treat his friends to a winter evening of skating. So when Alexandra and Alex told us they would be exchanging vows on the edge of the pond, at the “Temple of Love”, we melted. Larz Anderson park is considered by many a de facto extension of Boston’s Emerald Necklace and is a stunningly beautiful park. The ceremony was gorgeous as the clouds parted and the sun came out just as Alexandra was about to walk down the aisle giving everyone that warm love feeling the sun gives when you’re someplace special. After the ceremony we enjoyed the backdrop of the park for portraits then headed to Cambridge for the reception at the Adolphus Busch Hall. Alexandra and Alex didn’t have a limo or trolley, instead they had a Zip Car decorated and ready to drive. What else would young city dwellers drive? Right? The Adolphus Busch Hall is a gorgeous stone building with vaulted interior ceilings and old sculptures lining the hall and it was a perfect backdrop for our art historian bride’s wedding. The guests toasted and joined them for dancing into the night. It was gorgeous, elegant and we couldn’t be more thrilled for such a beautiful couple!
Cheers ~ Matt & Enna
